My name is M. Yolanda Perez, I am a family nurse practitioner with experience in functional medicine and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BIHRT) for the past ten years as a registered nurse in a health and wellness center in the Houston area. My philosophy is to help people reach their maximum health potential and live the best quality of life by providing individualized recommendations and getting to the root cause of their ailments.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington Family Nurse Practitioner program in December 2023. I am certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from the RN to BSN nursing program at the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2020 and became part of the Dean’s List in 2020.

I am pleased to join Dr. Shel Wellness and Aesthetics as a family nurse practitioner. I was born in Mexico and have lived in Houston since I was 11 years old. I currently live in the Sugar Land area. I am a mother of three and have been happily married for over 20 years. I am fluent in Spanish and English. For the past five years, I have invested in my education to continue to provide my patients with the best possible care. Outside of work, I enjoy running, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends.
