This summer has been a HOT one! One of my favorite ways to begin my summer day, or really, any day, is by enjoying a nutrient-rich, protein-packed smoothie. Not only are smoothies quick and easy to make allowing you to enjoy them on-the-run, but when made with the correct ingredients, they offer an incredible amount of nutrients. Because smoothies are a staple in my diet, I have made it a goal of mine to share these recipes with you so that you, too, can enjoy them and in turn, transform your health!
Today I’m featuring my Superfood Smoothie. The ingredients in this shake are jam-packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, all which help improve your immune system, increase your energy levels and have anti-aging effects as well.
Now, you may be wondering what a superfood is. Simply put, a superfood is typically known as any nutrient-rich ingredient that is especially beneficial for your overall health and well-being.

Dr. She’s Superfood Smoothie
- 1/2 C blueberries
- 1 handful spinach
- 1 T hemp seeds
- ½ avocado
- 1 medjool date
- Unsweetened almond or coconut milk
- Dr. ShelMD Advanced Plant Protein
Directions: Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender. Blend until creamy and enjoy!
